Xavier Castelló Llobet obtained his PdD in physics at the UIB (Universitat de les Illes Balears) in 2010. He has worked at IFISC, Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems (CSIC-UIB) from 2005 to 2011, and his research has focused on the modeling of social dynamics problems from the perspective of complex systems.
Since 2012 he has a postdoctoral fellowship at the Social Psychology Department in the UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). His current research is focused on the emergence and management of the commons, and the diffusion of discourses and practices related to them.
