Governmentality Processes in Contemporary Liberal Democracies

A fractal is a line which occupied more than one dimension but less than two. A fractional object is more than one and less than many. Somewhere in between. Which is difficult to think because it defies the simplicities of the single -but also the corresponding simplicities of pluralism of laissez faire, of a single universe inhabited by separate objects. (Law, 1999)

Fractalities in Critical Research is a research group devoted to the study of present and alternative forms of governmentality. It takes a transdisciplinary approach to analyze the dynamics of power relations in different techno-social assemblages from a critical epistemological perspective. It develops research for governmental and independent NGO's, and it has a strong commitment with the use and promotion of Free Software, Knowledge and Culture.
